This artistic water feature is a prominent part of a large scale, urban public space in downtown Vancouver. This civic campus was one of the largest projects developed by the city and is home to the Vancouver Public Library, federal government offices and retail stores.

The "Fountain of Time" water feature was designed by Vancouver ceramic artist Joseph Montague and was one of the first works completed under Vancouver's public art policy. A large water wall that was crafted to represent the scales of a fish flows into a pool that blends concrete, ceramics and stone to form a montage in the shape of an ancient clock.
