 Water Play

Water Doesn’t Sit Still.

Water Play is as fun as it sounds — picture families and kids running among fountains and sprays, enjoying a cool refresher from the summer heat. Well-suited for public parks, splash parks, and other high-activity community outdoor areas, these interactive water features help activate public spaces and create a bright and lively atmosphere. At night or during the cooler seasons, these features often transform into more ornamental elements, drawing in passers-by with their aesthetic presentation.

In addition to their decorative functions, water play features can help promote active play and outdoor fitness, and encourage greater engagement with our cities’ public spaces. Designing water play brings together creative architectural combinations, interactive design, and landscape design to offer an immersive sensory experience through water.

Vincent Helton has designed water play features for plazas, parks, and aquatic play areas throughout the Lower Mainland, partnering with landscape architects and developers to refresh our shared urban spaces. We approach each project with our inner child in mind.
