the falls building | victoria, bC

This aesthetically mesmerizing set of waterfalls is attached to the exterior of an award winning mixed-use development in the heart of historic downtown Victoria, The Falls.

A total of four waterfalls rise from podium level to the eighteenth floor – two with a height of 20 feet and two standing at an impressive 40 feet. The waterfalls are attached to exterior walls at a 5 degree slope, and each is furnished with a dedicated mechanical circulation system.

Water drops down over a battered metal surface, with spillways and metal returns to catch water blown by the wind. The effect is of water glistening uniformly down the side of the buildings.
