Rainbow Park (sθәqәlxenәm | ts’exwts’áxwi7) | Vancouver, BC

The Rainbow Park (sθәqәlxenәm | ts’exwts’áxwi7) project at Smithe and Richards in downtown Vancouver, revolves around the concept of creating a vibrant and inclusive public space. Despite its small size, the park aims to have a transformative impact on the neighborhood's livability, fostering social interaction and a sense of belonging.

The integration of an interactive splash pad, a result of our collaboration, adds a dynamic and sensory dimension to the park. The flowing water and play of light create a serene atmosphere, enhancing the park's aesthetic appeal and providing interactive experiences for visitors of all ages.

The park's design emphasizes inclusivity and accessibility, incorporating diverse seating options, lighting installations, and engaging play structures. Additionally, Kafka's café serves as a social hub, inviting people to gather, relax, and enjoy refreshments.

Our collaboration has successfully brought this concept to life, providing residents and workers in the area with a welcoming and enjoyable public space.
