SFU Town & Gown Plaza | Burnaby, bC

This expansive set of waterworks is one of the unique architectural elements that defines the vibrant and growing Simon Fraser UniverCity neighbourhood commercial area.

Winner of the 2007 National Merit Award from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, Town & Gown Plaza is a well used public space within the university for social gatherings, performances, dining, and public transit connections.

The prominent water feature includes large reflective ponds and highly visible waterfalls that complement the surrounding evergreen forest. As the sun sets the waterworks come to life, with integrated lighting and moving water creating an intriguing and attractive focal point for local residents, faculty and students.
